The invitation to participate in the WYD Lisbon 2023 is destined to the young people from all over the world. The registration allows access to all the WYD Lisbon 2023 events, as well as ensuring the following advantages for each pilgrim: personal accident insurance, free public transportation during the WYD and to the Pilgrim’s Kit.

Depending on the type of package chosen (Information on Packages here), pilgrims will receive accommodation, food and a set of information necessary for a full experience in these unique days.

Step-by-step guide for your registration as a pilgrim for World Youth Day Lisbon 2023!

Since its first edition in 1986, World Youth Day has been built with the collaboration of thousands of volunteers. One of the greatest beauties of this meeting with the Pope is the gift of work and time of so many young people who, free of charge, give others the opportunity to participate in a unique experience.

The Youth Festival wants to provide WYD pilgrims and the city of Lisbon with an experience of joy, youth, universality, and faith, showing that the Catholic Church is a lively and young church, capable of using today’s languages and art forms without compromise the message that they want to transmit.

It is a set of cultural, religious, and sporting events, carried out by WYD pilgrims, in a sharing of the Christian experience made by young people from all over the world, the result of their creativity and generosity!

At the Youth Festival you can find events in the areas of Music, Cinema, Exhibitions, Theatre, Dance, Conferences and Religious Events (prayers, testimonies, adoration, meetings conducted by Movements, Associations and Congregations).

The Vocational Fair is a WYD event that will take place for 4 days at the City of Joy (“Cidade da Alegria”). Here young people will have the opportunity to attend conferences, to get in touch with different movements, associations, communities, and religious orders, having the opportunity to get to know better the variety of charisms that make up the “beautiful garden of the Church”.

The Vocational Fair aims to bring congregations and movements into contact with young people to help them in the search for their vocation. It will also be possible to find spaces of silence that break with the normal hustle and bustle of the fair, where young people can discover God.
